Words about the themes

no words

I draw the different bodies I could be, because I draw them from the inner sense of each part. I don´t attempt to discribe an image but to express a sensation of my skin or spine or nerves. My priority is to reach the material from my authentic organic feeling, letting the drawing become a revelation of feelings I couldn´t be aware of otherwise.

After seven years gonne from my home land and city, Buenos Aires, I visited my parents home and searched from the drawings kept from my kinder garden times. I had to somehow bring with me the memory of those details I have forgoten. How could I mix up a bird with a fish, for example... the drawings were totally revealing about my early childhood´s perception of human bodies, nature and objects and I wanted to bring this image with me when I had to leave my country again. The originals where too fragile and I decided to draw them again, with a black marker on some small cardboard paper I was using for christmass cards. I took care to keep as much as possible the lines and the feeling of the original ones, knowing that would be anyways impossible... When I was back in holland I had my aquarel colors and i could remember the orinigal colors so I decided to color the drawings. That´s why I call them designs, because in fact that´s what I copied from the originals.

some kind of drawing and thinking all together. The words came about after the process of the drawing was finished, in all the cases. Maybe next time it changes, I´ll let you know.

When I was living in Amsterdam I used to enjoy super wonderfull concerts at Bimhuis, everytime I wanted for free (because of some hard work I made on very succesfull project there, called: the meeting point). I liked to bring my diary and draw lines as I was listening.
the one´s posted at the moment are from a great concert by Michale Moore and Mischa Mengelberg, among others...

I got fascinated my the colors of the pencils and I found an excuse to use them. They look certrainly naïf but it is fine.

At Documenta 12 there was an area called Aue Pavillion in the Aue park, in Kassel. It was a huge tend, which intended to be a christal palace for art but it was too hot and they had to make a huge investment on making it usable!! but in the cantine of this place I could get discount on the coffee (because of my work for documenta as a dancer) and they had those woden tables where some people had already been drawing by using the natural drawings of the wood, and I joined them. I was proud!!

two women, in acryl. in fact.

Those angels where spread all along my diary I still don´t know why. It started with their bodies and some how the wings appeared...
